Teachers who positively impact the academic and life skills of their public school students through the TFP approach
Alumni who leverage their teaching experiences to advance education reform throughout their lives
A network of partners that work together on shared objectives for education reform
Every employee and alumnus of Teach for the Philippines—inside and outside the classroom—must aspire to model the leadership the country needs in order to progress. To guide us in this effort, we hold the following six operational values to be true. These values represent the way we conduct ourselves on a daily basis.
Individually and collectively, delivering on big tasks or small, we carry out our work to the best of our abilities.
In the pursuit of operational excellence, each member of our team sets aside his or her personal ego to reach out and extend a hand when it is needed.
Our vision of success includes acting with integrity and without malice; being respectful and being kind, in every situation and at all times - even when no one is looking.
In modeling the leadership we want to see in our country, it is critical to have humility. We accept that we do not know everything. We also recognize that every individual and every community has a story to tell.
Social change is a consensus amongst many different organizations, cultures, and orientations. Creating impact through social change means working with others, inside and outside our organization.

Teach for the Philippines is a for-purpose, non-stock, non-profit organization working to ensure all Filipino children benefit from an excellent, inclusive, and relevant education. Founded in 2012, we focus on improving functional literacy, strengthening teacher quality, and addressing persistent education challenges at the system level. Through our core programs, we develop values-driven leaders who work alongside public school communities to strengthen student learning and help advance education reforms across the country.
Teach for the Philippines builds on the work of Sa Aklat Sisikat Foundation (SAS), which developed a 30-day reading program proven to significantly improve students’ reading skills through a randomized controlled trial conducted by MIT J-PAL (Linden, Leigh, Abaafra Abeberese, and Todd Kumler, 2013). Today, building on SAS’ legacy and grounded in research, evidence, and operational excellence, Teach for the Philippines has grown into a nationwide movement — engaging thousands of Filipino teachers and community leaders committed to driving meaningful, lasting change in education.

Teach for the Philippines works through programs that strengthen learning in public schools and develop leaders shaped by classroom and community realities — embedded within the public education system and working alongside those who lead it.
OUR PROGRAMSTeach for the Philippines is led by young, civic-minded, and entrepreneurial individuals with a bias for action. We focus on results and work intelligently towards expanding opportunities for all Filipino children. As citizens, we are committed to being the change we want to see in our country.

Every year, through Teach for the Philippines' core programs, the organization enlists Teacher Fellows and Teacher Leaders - promising Filipinos driven to lead positive lasting changes in their classrooms, communities, and country. Throughout their two-year programs, our teachers are trained to become lifelong advocates for education equity who will advance education reform throughout their lifetime.
*The names with asterisks are our participants in the Public School Teacher Pathways and Punong-Guro Programs.
The final stage of The Teach for the Philippines Fellowship is Alumni Pathways. Our leaders commit to education equity beyond the 24-month Fellowship program, whether they remain in the classroom, move on to education administration, work in government or the corporate sector, or join a different social development path. A key part of the Alumni Pathways is Teach for the Philippines’ Alumni Mentorship Program. Teach for the Philippines’ Alumni Mentorship Program supports the transfer of valuable leadership knowledge through mentoring.
This is an opportunity for second-year Teacher Fellows to forge a meaningful relationship with a respected professional, who believes in developing young leaders as part of nation building. The Teacher Fellows are responsible for actively engaging their mentors to further their learning and professional development. A mentor facilitates learning by asking thought-provoking questions and sharing invaluable career advice that help Teacher Fellows to reflect on their own experiences.
*The names with asterisks are DepEd teachers who completed our Public School Teacher Pathways Program.
